Back home and situated following their weekend trip to Lake Tahoe, anticipating parents Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz headed out for a baby check-up at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills on Monday (July 14).

Following their appointment with the doctor, the pregnant “Pieces Of Me” singer and her Fall Out Boy rocker hubby walked out to their car hand-in-hand, with Pete then wandering off and covering his face up with a big envelope.

Following a resting weekend getaway, the Simpson sisters and Pete Wentz were spotted hopping aboard a private jet in Lake Tahoe for the short trip back home on Sunday (July 13).

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, Jessica spent the past few days cheering on boyfriend Tony Romo at the American Century Golf Championships - dragging her “Outta My Head” singing little sis and her Fall Out Boy hubby along for company.

Remember when I wrote that Ashlee Simpson was engaged to Pete Wentz and possibly pregnant with their child last July? Well that turned out to be a large fat lie. But now the same rumor is going around and I PROMISE* this time it’s 100% true. Here’s the proof:

Pete recently posted a blog on the web announcing the couples’ plans to make something that cannot be illegally downloaded, hinting at a baby. In the bizarre video message, Ashlee and Pete, who have dated since last summer, also reveal that the “release date” is July 2008, before Ashlee poses with a cushion stuffed under her top.

It makes me hate them both more because they’re trying so hard to produce this funny, viral video and instead it just further proves what tweaks they are. I think Pete Wentz and his chick Ashlee go to the same salon. I am seeing side-by-side hair coloring, manis, pedis, bikini waxes, the works. It bonds them as a couple. Her man is fancy! Pete’s band Fall Out Boy is releasing a new live cd called “****” on April 8th and they’re covering Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” on the disc.

“Beat It” was such a hot video. Who doesn’t love a knife-fight between two gay dancers tied at the wrist? And an Eddie Van Halen solo? Perfection. Hopefully MJ gets some royalties from this, seeing as he owes bank for Neverland and is very close to having it taken away. Are the animals OK?

Oh, and Fall Out Boy are calling their disc “***” because they realize they swear a lot. That’s annoying and it’s going to screw up your iTunes. Dicks.
