Eva Mendes who checked into the Cirque Lodge in Utah some weeks ago to battle some sort of substance abuse problem, has now left the rehab facility. Eva arrived back in Los Angeles last night according to reports Life & Style.  No word on whether Eva has completed her therapy or just decided she had, had enough.  Coincidentally, just yesterday we reported here that Kirsten Dunst had just checked in to Cirque Lodge. 

Update: It turns out Eva is just attending to some personal business in Los Angeles and intends to return to finish her treatment shortly,” her publicist has announced.

“Eva has made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues,” her rep said at the time.

The Cirque Lodge, which is currently housing Eva Mendes during her rehab stint, now has a new celebrity checking herself in to treat substance abuse. The 25-year-old actress is staying at the same facility where Lindsay Lohan also went last year to receive treatment and appeared to be emotionally overwhelmed when she arrived at the Lodge.

“She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears,” revealed a source to Star magazine.

This is something that I definitely didn’t anticipate. When I heard Eva was in rehab, I told my fiance and then we spent 20 minutes speaking about all the things we think she might be addicted to and why. My guess is alcohol. I can’t state I have a legit reason on why I think she’s an alcoholic but I just could absolutely see her downing 4 ounce bottles of Popov in between takes. For as simple-going as she acts, I bet she’s wound tighter than tight and alcohol is her only release. Yep, that’s what I think happened.

TMZ has learned Eva Mendes is in Utah battling a substance abuse problem. We’re told the “Ghost Rider” star is at the famous Cirque Lodge, near Sundance. The Lodge, which treated Lindsay Lohan and other stars, is one of the most respected treatment facilities in the country. Eva has been at Cirque for several weeks.

Well, rehab isn’t really a bad place to be–it means you’ve admitted you’ve a problem and you are trying to superior yourself. I don’t see anything wrong with bettering yourself. And my fiance really likes Eva so he doesn’t want to see he involved in dram or bad press so.. we really hope she gets superior.*

Eva Mendes has quietly entered Cirque Lodge, a rehab facility near Sundance, Utah to attend to some “personal issues,” aka some kind of substance abuse problem.  Eva actually slipped into the facility  without notice,  and has reportedly been a resident for several weeks.  Her rep has made a statement saying:

“Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva’s privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details.”

Cirque Lodge, is the same rehab facility Lindsay Lohan spent time in. Mendes, 33, had previously spoken out on her abhorrence for the Hollywood lifestyle.

“The celebrity world can be so ugly. Everyone seems to have slept with everyone else and it’s some sort of strange weird cycle. I don’t want to get into that.”

The Ghost Rider star is also know for roles in the Will Smith comedy “Hitch” and last year’s “We Own The Night. In addition to acting, Eva had recently become the face of PETA’s new ad campaign and is currently featured in the 2008 Campari calendar promoting their line of alcohol.

The same day news broke about Eva being in rehab, CNN Money also reported that Mendes, a previous spokesperson for Revlon, is the new face of Calvin Klein Fragrances, in an ad campaign that’s slated to launch this fall.
