Well if there wasn’t enough talk about them before their birth, the infamous Brangelina twins certainly have people speaking about them now! The fraternal twins, Leon Knox and Vivienne Marcheline, have had people speaking about them, their health, their momma’s health, and their names in the short two days since they’ve been born! Reports say that they’re doing very well even though there was concern about all three when Dr. Sussmann, Angelina’s obstetrician, not only rushed to the hospital Monday morning but also extended the normal twenty-minute visit to an hour. No one knows why the visit was so long or so important but it was confirmed that everyone was doing well.

As far as where the names came from? The Los Angeles Times did some digging of their own and came up with the following possible reasons:

“1. Shaking the Family Tree: Knox is a Scottish-English-Irish surname and the middle name of Brad’s grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse. Léon is the name of Angelina’s great-great grandfather.

2. The X-Factor: The Jolie-Pitts’ two other sons, Maddox and Pax, have an x in their first names.

3. Mom Complex: Vivienne is the French form of Vivian, which may reflect her birthplace or heritage. Or it could be a name in Pitt’s family, because their baby boy is named for people from both parents’ families. Marcheline is the French name of Angelina Jolie’s late mom, who was of French-Canadian and Native American ancestry.”

Really?!? Does the meaning behind a name really need to be so complicated? I don’t really care what their reasons are for these horrible names. They’re not nice no matter how ya cut it. Another side note as to what the delivery room was like: Angelina and Brad were apparantly speaking and laughing during the whole operation due to the epidural that Angelina was given. This isn’t really news since almost each woman who has a C-section is given an epidural, a support person comes in and they are completely coherent but it’s the most famous couple in the world so this minor tidbit needs to make headlines.

Finally! Angelina Jolie gave birth to the twins she’s been pregnant with. Saturday in France is when the miracle happened via C section. She had a boy and girl. Their names are Knox Leon (the boy who weighed 5 lbs 3 oz) and Vivienne Marcheline (the girl who weighed 5lbs). Knox was named after Brad Pitt’s grandpa and Vivienne’s middle name came from Angelina’s mom’s name. How sweet! Now they have 3 girls in their clan and 3 boys. THEY CAN STOP NOW! No photos of the two angels yet but the Mayor of Nice, France held a press conference to show off the birth certificates of the babies. They are not Americans! Maybe Brad and Angie will do us (and Rachel Green) a favor and just live in France forever! If its soo great, STAY! But quit cashing your American checks worth millions then, assholes!

Well the stories that were floating around last night about the birth of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s twins were in fact true! From US,

“Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins – a boy named Knox Leon and a girl named Vivienne Marcheline, her doctor has confirmed to Us.

“Saturday was a great day for all,” Dr. Michael Sussman tells Usmagazine.com. “The babies are good, as is Angelina.”

Knox weighed 5.03 pounds and Vivienne weighed 5 pounds, Sussmann adds.

And Jolie has already started to receive visitors. “Angelina’s brother [James Haven] has been here this morning,” a hospital insider tells Usmagazine.com.

“There’s a buzz at the clinic. The babies are relaxing, as is Jolie. They haven’t [been] crying yet, so it just feels very peaceful.”

Jolie, 33, gave birth via a Cesarian section at the Lenval Hospital on the French Riviera on Saturday night, the French newspaper Nice-Matin first reported.”

Angelina was due in August but it was decided that it would be in the ideal interest of the babies and their mother that they be born early. The conflicting reports yesterday about “did she?” or “didn’t she?” stemmed from the fact that someone at the hospital had denied the story that the twins had been born. I’m thinking this was probably so that the family could spend their first evening together quietly and happily and so that everyone could have a bit of a rest before the world went nuts. Just as I stated in yesterday’s post, is something that every new family deserves!

Did Angelina Jolie give birth to her twins or is this just another rumor? Well there are blended reports surrounding this very story, with some stories claiming that she gave birth to them this evening by Caesarean section. One such report is from Celebrity Dirty Laundry,

“Angelina Jolie reportedly gave birth to twin girls in a French hospital this day, taking to half a dozen the number of children in the Jolie-Pitt clan. InTouch states sources at the La Fondation Lenval Hospital in Nice confirmed Jolie had a caesarean section at 6 p.m. local time.

InTouch stated the first baby was born at 6.45 p.m. and the other entered the world 15 minutes later, according to the report. The 33-year-old mother and her newborn daughters are stated to be in good health and will check out of the seafront hospital in 48 hours.”

This story makes me doubtful for a couple fo reasons. The first is that it’s not plastered on the front page of each magazine and newspaper everywhere. The second is that I don’t think Angelina would leave the hospital so soon after giving birth to twins. Reports have come out that she’s planning to stay until she has made a full recovery. I know she’s got more money than God but considering that she did have a difficult pregnancy, it wouldn’t surprise me if she did decide to stay. Lastly, I have my doubts about this story because of stories like this from US,

“An InTouch report that Angelina Jolie delivered her twins at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France is wrong, a hospital rep told Usmagazine.com Saturday.

“It’s not true. The story is not true,” the rep told Us.

InTouch posted an exclusive story reporting Jolie had a cesarean Saturday at 6 p.m. French time and delivered two girls, one at 6:45 p.m. and one at 7 p.m.

When Jolie gives birth, the news will be posted on the hospital’s site, a rep told Extra, which first confirmed the rumor was wrong.

Reps for Jolie and beau Brad Pitt never confirmed the rumor.”

This isn’t the only source that claims that the story is untrue and unlike the sources that are sticking to the story, this one was found in several different places. At this point, it’s a waiting game for the rest of us. I know that I’ve stated my fair share of not-so-nice things about this couple but really, could we just let them enjoy a moment of being a family for a minute before we anticipate them to announce to the world that the Jolie-Pitt family has expanded? It’s a once-in-a-lifetime type moment and everybody, regardless of what we think of them or who they are, deserves at least that.

Remember this picture? Yep, just like I thought last week when it was released, it’s a complete fake. That woman is not Angelina Jolie and is in fact just another woman who other than being another patient at the hospital, has nothing to do with the birth of those twins. Of course Angelina would never pose in front of the window like that, it’s something that seems almost human! And she’s so busy being pampered in her four-room suite hotel, er sorry, hospital room that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, while she is being “observed” that she’s far too busy to keep in touch with the real world. In fact, the windows in the Queen’s rooms are specially coated so that cameras cannot see into the room from the other side. Oh please. Just how special do you think you are? The hospital has confirmed that the stated belly shots are definitely not that of the Wanted actress in People,

“Don’t anticipate to catch any glimpses of Angelina Jolie in her hospital room.

The hospital in Nice, France, where Jolie, 33, is staying as she awaits the birth of her twins has coated the windows of her room with special insulating material that cameras cannot see through, the Associated Press reports. The news comes after several photographs – allegedly of Jolie and Brad Pitt – have surfaced.

“It is impossible to see into Mr. Brad Pitt and Mrs. Angelina Jolie’s room,” a rep for the Fondation Lenval hospital stated in a statement. “So any photos released are either posed fakes set up by paparazzi, or, they’re photos of other patients. We hope this is clearly understood out of respect for all patients in this clinic.”

Oh puh-leaze. Great so no one can see in. I comprehend that they’re famous but what other stars have had to go to these extremes? I thought it was bad when Jennifer Lopez had the hospital running hospital drills before her birth but she managed to stay in the country. And she was famous, and she had a famous husband, and she was having twins! Get over yourself, Angelina. Everybody else already has.
