Barron Hilton announced on Wednesday that he was going to donate 97% of his 2.3 billion dollar nest egg to charity. He is donating it to the Conrad N. Hilton foundation which honors the founder, his dad, of the hotel chain that started back in 1919.
I’m gonna have to say that it’s pretty dang obvious that grandpa is trying redeem the Hilton name here … and if I were him, you bet your ass I’d donate the money as well! Wouldn’t you?? Paris does NOT deserve that money. She would blow it on fake hair and clothes anyways!
Now, Barron did admit to being embarrassed by his socialite granddaughter, but deep down I really didn’t expect him to donate such a majority of his net worth. I think its a wise choice though and I’m proud of him for it. Paris can make her own money!…She likes to speak about how hard she works anyways. I think she even told David Letterman once that her grandpa stated she works harder than anyone he knew…hmm… maybe granddad on the other side stated that? Still, all I can think of is Paris standing there going, “…WTF is grandad thinking?! He knows I only wear my outfits once!”
Then again, maybe with her “new mind set” that she claims she now has, she won’t go into a nasty hissy fit about splitting the left over 69 million that has yet to be taxed.
